Spend a day at the farm learning about pre-historic creatures and their impact on biodiversity today. Interpret fossil evidence to show that living things have changed over time, sometimes in response to changes in climate.

How do shellfish fossils found in Las Vegas Valley inform us about the environment in this region millions of years ago?

How are fossils formed? Where have scientists historically found them? What are the differences between trace fossils and preserved remains?

Identify traits in plants and animal fossils. Identify inherited traits in plants and animals. Learn about how inherited traits can be influenced by the environment in the case of sea turtle eggs and the outside temperature. What are acquired traits?

Enjoy creating a diorama of your own natural history museum filled with created fossil treasures or more modern discoveries! Come for a day of hands on learning, games, and creativity!

Duration: 8:30am to 2:30pm

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Turns out that a day camp you've registered for no longer works? 

​

For a day camp, we are happy to honor cancellations or reschedule requests 7 days before the start of the camp. Please note that cancellations or rescheduling requests received within the 7 day window prior to the start of the camp cannot be refunded nor credited.  Thanks for your understanding!
