Product Details

This camp will focus on storytelling. With Native American oral history as the inspiration, hear from a handful of beautiful creation stories by tribes from across the US and Canada. Hear a story from the Seneca tribe about why and how spring defeats winter and explore how stories such as this help to explain the rhythm of the seasons, pollination, nutrient cycles, and more.

We'll invite Ballyntyne camp kiddos to create their own creation stories about why animals possess the certain traits that they do, or a tale explaining why an aspect of the natural world works as it does. The kiddos will put together an interactive play with a small group and will bring home a handmade "cardboard tv" so they can continue telling their unique creation stories at home!

Duration: 8:30am to 2:30pm

Ages 6-9 years old
